It’s still Caturday even if you don’t personally have a cat, right? I don’t know any of the cats in this picture (although I feel like I do: Hello, Shadow! Hello, Andre!), but this may perhaps be the best cat photo I’ve ever come across. Fuck yeah, Siamese.

In the ten years I have lived in New York City, I have never seen a Siamese street cat. I just haven’t. Until tonight.
I had come to the belief that they either just didn’t exist (the person that can afford a Siamese isn’t likely to abandon them, I thought) or that they were all avoiding me (I’m trouble and Siamese aren’t stupid, I thought).
This matters because the only kind of cat that can ever truly enter my heart is a Siamese.

I shamefully admit I’m rather weirded out by the mutt quality to her Siamese-ness, but I’ve nonetheless given my Mama my vote of approval for adoption. I mean, when our other (purebred… I know, I know!) Siamese is named Andre and the dog is named Alytn, how can you see Ava and not think she was destined to join the family? A boy can dream.
A belated (and starved anorexic) addition to Caturday: Tallulah, who is the biggest cuddle monster this side of the Mississippi.
